for: managing project controls activities for the program including
preparation of work break down structure and coding structures; preparation,
establishment and maintenance of the integrated master schedules for all the
projects; monitoring and evaluation of work progress against the target
schedule and highlight any deviations for necessary action; evaluation and
recommendation of contractors and consultant schedules; setting up and
recommendation of contract milestones and durations; earned value management;
preparation and establishment of the project controls procedures and

accommodate the UP Express, current and future GO Transit, Canadian National,
and Via Rail services. Beyond the 427, a newly constructed 3.3 km (2.1 mi)
rail spur will carry the UP Express to Toronto Pearson International Airport
Terminal 1. The Union Pearson Express fleet will consist of six trains; each one
composed of three diesel multiple units (DMU) cars, for a total of 18 DMUs.
Dinesh was responsible for leading the planning and scheduling activities
which include setting up the master schedule maintaining, updating and
communicating the master schedule on a regular basis. Scheduling Manager; The Panama Canal Expansion
Program; Client: Canal De Panama, Republic of Panama; US$3. 2billion;
2009-2011.This project scope includes blasting
(basalt – 5.3 million m3), excavation (35 million m3), dredging (13.5 million
m3), concrete (4.8 million m3), dams, water saving basins, coffer dams,
access and hauling roads, ocean side barge loading/unloading docks,
industrial plants, operations, maintenance and control buildings, and
installation of gates and valves. In charge of all the planning and
scheduling activities of the $3.2 billion Third Set of Locks project of the
$5.3 billion Panama Canal Expansion Program. Responsible for the preparation
and establishment of the integrated program master schedule; evaluation and
acceptance of the design and build contractor’s baseline schedules and
monthly updates; evaluation of the contractors’ schedule performance and
preparation of forecast reports; preparation and establishment of the
scheduling procedures and program controls procedures; monitoring
trends/risks/issues; leading and supervising a team of scheduling
professionals; mentoring and training client staff; contract management;

square kilometer city relies entirely on solar energy and other renewable
energy sources, with a sustainable, zero-carbon, zero-waste and will be a car
free city. The travel will be accomplished within the city via public mass
transit and personal rapid transit (PRT) systems, with existing road ways
connecting to other locations outside the city. Dinesh was part of the
project management team managing the 1st phase of the city which involves construction of Masdar Institute of
Science and Technology (MIST); responsible for managing planning, scheduling,
estimating, cost, change and claims, document controls, progress reporting,
and risk management activities. Planning Manager; Qasr Al Hosn Redevelopment
Project; Client: ADACH; Abu Dhabi, UAE; 3 billion; 2007. This project involves rehabilitation of oldest stone building in Abu
Dhabi and addition of new buildings as a hotel, offices and retail. Dinesh
was part of the project management team involved in the preparation of
initial plans and the master schedule. Planning Manager; Al Reem Island; Client:
Macquarie Bank/Tamouh; Abu Dhabi, UAE; $30 billion; 2007. Al Reem Island is a residential, commercial and business project on Al
Reem Island. Overall dimensions of the project are 6.5 million square meters.
Dinesh was responsible for the preparation of estimates and budgets, initial
plans and schedules, setting up project controls systems and procedures, cost
estimates for Macquarie Bank who was trying to carry out the infrastructure
(utilities, chilled water plants, sewage treatment plants and bridges) on
design, built, operate and maintain basis. Lead Scheduler; Abu Dhabi Airport Expansion;
Supervision Committee for Expansion of the Abu Dhabi International Airport
(SCADIA); Abu Dhabi, UAE, US$6. 8 billion; 2007. This project involves the extension of Terminal 1, new air traffic
control tower, new runways and new midfield terminal. Responsible for setting
up master schedules, managing contractor and consultant schedules. Project Controls Manager; Buildings by Daman;
Client: Daman Real Estate Capital Partners Ltd; Dubai, UAE; $436 millions;
2007. This project consists of a 65 story
residential, hotel and serviced apartment tower, and a 12 story office and
retail building. Dinesh was responsible for setting up the master schedule
and project control procedures. Project Controls Manager /Assistant Project
Manager; Capital Tower, Client: Capital
Investments; Dubai, UAE; $110 millions, 2006-2007. This project consists
of two components: a five-star deluxe hotel and serviced apartments and long
lease residential apartment units. Responsible for assisting the project
manager in managing all the aspects of the project; managing the site
supervision consultants and the contractor in delivering the project in
accordance with the contract documents and the client requirements that
include schedule management; cost management; document controls, contract,
change and claims management, risk management. Project Controls Specialist; The Palm Jumeirah; Client: Nakheel;
Dubai, UAE; $20 billion; 2004-2006. The Palm
Jumeirah is a man-made island of around 5 km2 size. This island is in the shape of
a palm tree and consists of detached houses, residential apartments,
five-star hotels and marinas. Dinesh was part of the program management team
who was managing the infrastructure works (Roads, bridges, utilities, sewage
treatment plant, desalination plant, substations, monorail system, etc.)
Responsible for estimating, budgeting, cost control, scheduling that include
managing the contractors and consultants, change management, analysis and
recommendation on cost and schedule impacts. Lead
Scheduler/ Senior Project Controls Engineer, Changi Water Reclamation Plant
(Contracts C4C, C4B and EP3); Public Utilities Board (PUB); Singapore; S$600
millions; 2003-2004. This plant has a capacity
(Phase 1) to treat up to 800,000 m3/day of used water from homes, industries
and businesses per day. It will eventually be able to handle an ultimate
capacity of 2.4million m3 per day. This plant consists of four major
components: influent pumping station (IPS), liquid process facilities, solid
processing facilities and an outfall. Dinesh worked with one of the major
contractor (Sembawang Engineers & Constructors) who had four contracts
with the Public Utilities Board: Contract C3B- Construction of Liquids Module
2, civil works and scrapers, Contract C4B – Civil, mechanical and electrical
works associated with the Solids Building for thickening, dewatering
centrifuges, thermal sludge drying and storage operations, Contract C4C –
Construction of digesters (capacity -20,000m3/each, 5Nos), gallery, gas storage tanks,
digester gas burners including supply & installation of M&E works,
Contract EP3 – Design, supply, install, commission and operation &
maintenance of the sludge drying systems based on rotary drum technology. He
was responsible for preparation of micro contractor schedules; submitting and
obtaining approvals of baseline schedules; maintenance and updates of the
schedules; preparation of delay analysis and claims, involved in claims
negotiations and construction management; preparation of weekly and monthly
reports; involved in the preparation of payment applications; cash flow analysis. Project

and logistics, construction material estimates and deliveries; the defect

consisting of 510 residential units with 20 different designs in sizes
ranging from 850 sqf to 6,114 sqf. Responsible for implementing the
construction work in accordance with the contract documents and the
deadlines; managing the subcontractor works, managing a pool of direct
workers, construction planning, scheduling and logistics, construction
